Group Piano Lessons

LLC offers two class programs, one designed for pre-kindy students (3.5 - 5), and a second group class program designed for adults (17 years and above). The aim of these group piano classes is to promote music learning in a collaborative group based learning environment. These class programs focus on teaching:

  • Music reading

  • Hand positioning

  • Keyboard orientation

  • Technical development

  • Principles of theory and harmony

  • Durations (short and long concepts)

A focus of the children’s group music class is to instil a sense of responsibility and facilitate the establishment of healthy routines which have the potential to promote your child’s holistic development across various developmental domains. By aiming to promote these in a group environment our aim is to ensure that each child while maintaining their sense of agency is aware and feels supported by their network of peers (music educators, parents and families, and fellow classmates).

A focus of the adult group music class is to specifically teach students music arrangement whereby they write tunes, select chords, and arrange them applying their level of technical development.

The aim of these adult group music classes is to demonstrate that learning music can be beneficial indiscriminate of age or skill, and that anyone can engage in music learning.
