The belief held by Lucy’s Learning Corner (LLC) is that in order for children to mature into individuals who possess a strong sense of belonging, being, and becoming, certain factors must be established in the early stages of childrens development. Paramount to a child’s development and success is the provision of an environment which is safe, supportive, child focused, resource rich, and inviting.

This means establishing an environment where children are appreciated for who they are, have their unique skills and intelligences respected, supported and encouraged to be creative, and challenged to develop their skills and character. We achieve this at LLC through our ongoing partnerships with families, children, and the broader community.

Here at Lucy’s Learning Corner we aim to provide such an environment through music education. Numerous scientific studies have demonstrated that musical training has the capacity to enhance individuals cognitive development. This in conjunction with the belief that music has the power to promote and nurture positive relationships which are further conducive of learning and development establishes the foundational tenant of LLC that music education has the potential to positively contribute to the holistic development of an individual. It is therefore our ambition to provide children with a rich and comprehensive music education in order to aid them to the best of our abilities on their path to success.
